Q2, the stock basket
Q2 is the quote token for every QuantArk coin. It is a basket: each Q2 is a claim on a fixed amount of two tokenized stocks held by the QuantArk program.
| Component | Per 1 Q2 | Underlying |
|---|---|---|
| GOOGLx | 0.01 | Alphabet (Google), builder of the Willow quantum chip |
| NVDAx | 0.0025 | NVIDIA, whose CUDA-Q software and NVQLink connect GPUs to quantum processors |
| GOOGLx | NVDAx | |
|---|---|---|
GOOGLx and NVDAx are xStocks, tokens issued by Backed that track the share price. They were chosen because they are the quantum-related xStocks with real on-chain liquidity. Pure quantum names such as IONQx and QUBTx had no usable route when the basket was set, and can be added when they do.
Supply rules
Section titled “Supply rules”- The Q2 mint authority is the basket account, a program address with no private key. No wallet can mint Q2.
mint_q2takes the components from the caller first, then mints.redeem_q2burns first, then pays out.- Each component must arrive in the basket’s own vault for that mint. A look-alike vault or token program is rejected.
- Q2 has 6 decimals and is a classic SPL token, which Meteora’s curve accepts as a quote mint.
Backing
Section titled “Backing”Backing is vault holdings divided by Q2 supply, per component. Mint rounds the deposit up and redeem rounds the payout down, so the vault always holds at least what circulating Q2 can claim. The Basket page shows the live ratio.
Weights are config, not code
Section titled “Weights are config, not code”The components and amounts are stored in the basket account, up to four components. Changing them is an admin action that is frozen after Q-day like every other Ed25519 action. See Q-day and the canary.
